Thomas Cook Holidays 2011 All Inclusive

It’s normal for this website to try and avoid pricing altogether.  One because we are not trying to sell you anything and two because prices fluctuate so much in the world of travel, not only from one webite to another but also depending on so many other variables. But, when we’re talking about something that is specific to a year then it’s all right to start giving out a few prices. One of the requests that we’ve had recently is for a review on Thomas Cook holidays 2011 all inclusive.

Now, to be perfectly frank, I’ve never been on an all-inclusive holiday in my life. I’d like to have the experience but I’m going to leave that until later on in my life when all I want to do is relax in the one spot. I always try and get the best value out all my holidays and I don’t really think that all inclusive is going to give me that at the moment. If all you want to do is relax on the beach, come back for your meals to the hotel, and spend your days pottering around, maybe taking in a show in the evening, then all-inclusive is going to be perfect for you.

When I was researching Thomas Cook all inclusive holidays 2011, I found a lot of European destinations of different quality, length of stay, and price, along with the more traditional Dominican Republic all inclusive holidays, Egypt, Orlando, and South America. Let’s look a couple of the different offers that are available at the time of writing, in June 2011.

We have the obvious Spanish holidays, mostly to the Spanish islands of Tenerife, Menorca, Ibiza, Majorca, Gran Canaria, and Lanzarote. When you visit any of the Spanish islands you are almost guaranteed to get good weather, beautiful beaches and landscapes, and a whole host of other like-minded people who are doing exactly the same thing as you.

One popular choice is Tenerife. There are several different options offered on the website including three star Tenerife self catering options to five-star Tenerife all inclusive.

One particular Thomas Cook 2011 All Inclusive deal to the Paraiso Floral resort in Tenerife, on the Playa Parsaiso, includes return flights from Gatwick airport. The price is £884 for two people. Under the Hotel details section for this holiday, you’ll find details about the Hotel itself, the location, the transfer time, the meals (which basically says non-smoking both a restaurant, weekly special evening … and that’s it!). There’s not much information about what exactly you get with all-inclusive. I find this to be disappointing, but more about that later.

Another choice is the Sentido Jacaranda which is located on Playa Americas, a popular, although dated, resort in Tenerife. This resort is going to cost you £509 per person including return flights from Manchester airport for seven nights all-inclusive. Thomas Cook give you a lot of information about the Hotel and a lot more information about the all-inclusive nature.

It includes a buffet style breakfast, your lunch and your evening meal. There is also an afternoon tea available and snacks throughout the day. All of your drinks are included, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, excluding international brands, although they do include cocktails. All your sports and leisure activities are also included including volleyball, basketball, archery, football, aerobics, and a gym. It also includes entertainment every evening.

When we looked for reviews for this particular hotel the majority of them were above average.

Thomas Cook’s take on the all inclusive holiday is … allowing you to escape, to get away on your holiday, enjoying yourself in the knowledge that the majority of your costs are going to be covered. The information on some of the hotels was quite sketchy as to what was covered in the all-inclusive packages. If I was paying for everything upfront then I would want to know exactly what I was paying for, no messing about.

At the end of the day, if you’re looking for Thomas Cook 2011 all inclusive, the best thing is to go to the site and make a shortlist of your preferred destinations, choose several different hotels resorts and look elsewhere on the Internet for more information. There is plenty of information available and that information is only going to grow in the future. Once you’ve done this you can go back to the Thomas Cook website and make your mind up as to what is going to suit you best. They do offer some great deals in terms of value for money, it’s up to you to make sure that you’re getting the best deal in terms of location and accommodation.
