Including Tapestry Holidays Turkey, the company also specialised in vacations to Greece and Croatia.
There was also a choice of booking one of the tailor-made options which could take you to Morocco and Oman, Dubrovnik, Istanbul, and Athens, amongst others.
Tapestry Holidays Ceases Trading
Tapestry Holidays Ltd ceased trading on 10 August 2006.
If you search for information about tapestry holidays Ltd you will find that they used to operate as a tour operator in the UK until 2006.
As of December 2006, tapestry holidays Ltd becomes a subsidiary of TravelZest plc.
When the company failed it had 1500 customers who were already on their holidays.
It also had over 6000 bookings for 2006/2007.
The founder, Nick Wrightman, said “Myself and my team are all extremely upset and right now our priority is to help our guests and our staff in resort.”
It is thought that the company had severe cash flow problems as they were discounting and offering incentives for anyone who would pay cash upfront.[i]
One of the more unusual stories we came up with when we were researching for this post was of a man complaining that his holiday was ruined and he was blaming Tapestry Holidays … Why? … Because his wife ran off with the local barman.[ii]
