Southall Travels[1]  is a UK travel agency which operates globally.

According to their website, the Southall Travel Group is one of the largest in the UK, with over 700 employees operating in the wholesaling, business, and leisure travel sectors.

Their head offices are located in Southall, Middlesex, although they have recently opened corporate premises near Heathrow airport in London.

When you visit the Southall travel website you will find a very standard website with tabs along the top, featured deals, travel news, etc.

You can choose flight only or flight and hotel using the “travel planner” search engine on the home page.

They also have a “Specialised Quote” section which appears to offer you the option of getting a quote for a journey which requires more than one destination.

In the “Car Hire” section you will find a “Car Hire” search box, next to which is a large picture of a Porsche with the words “Discounted Offer” in big red letters … I couldn’t click on this and don’t know why it was there.

Next is a tab which says “India Tours”, clicking on it brings you to a page offering a variety of packages to different destinations within India.

It seems that there is a big focus on Southall Travels India which is probably is because of a strong Indian connection; the current managing director is Kuljinder Bahia who took over the business in 1997 at the age of 24.

Also, the business began as a niche company, selling flights to British Asians for trips to India.

Other sections of the website include “Travel Info”, “Travel Insurance”, a “Contact Us” and an “About Us” page.

The Southall Travel Price Guarantee

Southall travel offers a price guarantee, they even have a small advertisement on the right-hand side of the page which tells you to “click here for more details” … I couldn’t click through.

Also, the price guarantee is for scheduled flights and states ” if you can get a cheaper flight on the same carrier and departing at the same day and time on the same route within 24 hours of making the booking with us (as time and date on your invoice) we will match the price (written proof required)”

… the same day, same time, and same route?

Is that possible?

Wouldn’t that be problematic?

Wouldn’t that be quite dangerous?
