Singapore is the second most densely populated country in the world, Monaco being the first, with 6430 people per square kilometre.
Singapore became a member of the United Nations in 1965.
It is amongst the smallest nations of the world.
The largest fountain in the world can be found in Suntec city.
Singapore is also the home to the world’s first night zoo.
The country is the largest exporter of governmental fish, actually taking 25% of the world market.
The highest natural point is only 164 m above sea level.
Several Guinness book of records have been set here including the longest human domino chain, the domino topple record, and the largest game of pass the parcel.
