We recently received a request for information about luxury cottages with hot tub in the Lake District.
We had a look at exactly what was on offer and came up with quite a few possibilities.
But, I got to thinking about writing a bit more broadly, say luxury cottages with hot tubs UK.
Now, when we’re talking about cottages to rent with hot tub, we are not talking about your average bath that sits next to or is part of your shower, oh no no no, what would be the point of that … we’re talking about a big, relaxing, bubbling Jacuzzi … inside or outside, it makes no odds.
First up, I want to look at cottages with hot tubs in the Lake District, only because that was the original request.
Tottergill Farm
Tottergill Farm[i] is a location close to the Lakes where two of their cottages have hot tubs.
The first of these is Mill Barn cottage which leads up to 8 people and is very close to the Lakes.
The hot tub will seat 5 to 6 people and you’ll also get bathrobes and slippers to take you to and from your luxurious soaking.
The second is Watson Cottage which is close to the Scottish Borders, Carlisle, Hadrian’s Wall, and of course the Lake District.
The cottage has breathtaking views, at 50 inch home cinema system, and a private garden with that all important hot tub.
Bluewood Lodges
Bluewood Lodges [ii] are located in the heart of England, in the Cotswold village of Kingham, an area of outstanding natural beauty.
The facilities that are available here include a daily maid service so you really don’t have to do anything, a car valet service, Wi-Fi access, barbecue higher, and bike hire.
There are eight different accommodations you to choose from including Wisteria Cottage, Romeo Lodge, and Stable Cottage.
Country Cottages Online
Country cottages online[iii] offers to find you cottages to rent with hot tub throughout England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.
One of the choices in England is Ruscombe Hall, located in Somerset.
This small country estate features five bedrooms, Internet access, a tennis court, games room, indoor and outdoor hot tub, and indoor swimming pool.
It’s a bit on the pricey side with rates going as high as £ 2500 per week.
Another location is Woodlands Cottage which is located in the Peak District.
This four-bedroom bungalow features a tennis court and outdoor hot tub.
Brightening up the British Weather
Whenever we talk about outdoor Jacuzzi’s or hot tubs being part of a holiday rental, it is usually as part of a Spanish or Italian villa holiday.
I think it’s a great idea for any cottage owner in the UK or Ireland to build a small sheltered area outside of their cottage where they can put a hot tub.
Just imagine being out for a long walk, inevitably you’re going to get wet if you’re anywhere in the UK at almost any time of the year, you come back to your cottage, switch on the Jacuzzi and lazily soak in bubbling hot water, sipping a glass of whatever, looking out across the beautiful landscape.
I’d definitely go for that!
