This one is a bit different because a staying in a log cabin is a romantic notion, being able to stay in a log cabin with a big steaming hot tub on the porch is probably my idea of heaven, that is if I had to go to the Lake District for my holidays in the first place.

When talking about log cabins in the UK, I’m not on about the big American settler-style log cabin which is made out of whole tree trunks, hewn by 6 ft 6 lumberjacks with their trusty axes, crafted together using hard work, sweat, stones, and mud.
The modern-day versions are more like timber houses, or timber cabins, if you’re going to call it a log cabin then it should really be made of logs don’t you think??? … okay rant over.
