Gypsy Caravan Holidays UK

Gypsy Caravan Holidays UK may not seem like the typical holiday you would want to book either as a couple or with your family.

However, the experience they can offer is becoming increasingly attractive to all types of holidaymaker as they represent a chance to get away from the stresses of the city and modern life.

What to Expect from Gypsy Caravan Holidays UK

It is important to be under no illusions, these Gypsy caravan holidays will not appeal to everyone, the amenities within your accommodation are basic at best and you literally have one single room which you both sleep and live in during your stay.

As a result of this and due to the limited space inside a gypsy caravan there is no en-suite bathroom and living area within the caravan itself, rather you will find either a communal or private living area outside your accommodation.

Gypsy Caravan Holidays in Hereford or Somerset

Lets take one example, that of the Gypsy caravan holidays that are typically located in the Herefordshire and Somerset regions with a 1 night stay costing between £60 and £100 for the Gypsy caravan, so around £30 to £50 per person per night.

A popular company offering this experience is the Wriggles Brook Gypsy B&B[1] in Herefordshire, the camp is quite small and as result you can expect to have enough private time away from other holidaymakers.

Breakfast is also brought to you every day and each caravan features both an antique stove and an oil-filled electric heater to keep you warm.

The town of Hoarwithy is also situated nearby meaning you will never be too far away from civilisation.

Whilst Gypsy caravan holidays UK may appear to be unappealing to many at first glance due to the primitive nature of the holiday they offer something totally unique to any other holiday you will see and can be a great deal of fun.

Gypsy Caravan Holidays UK

The idea of going on a gypsy caravan holiday has always appealed to me because of the romantic nature which is often associated with this type of transportation.

But personally, I feel that the accommodation would be a bit cramped and I don’t think I could take it to more than a day or two.

And if you have the notion of taking one of these Gypsy caravans onto the road, you should think again because I think it would be a nightmare on most modern-day roads, be they main roads or back roads.

The traffic would literally blast you out of it and I believe the experience would be utterly unenjoyable, not in the least bit romantic.

Just my opinion!
