We all have differing tastes when it comes to holidays but it is amazing how so many us choose to take cheap package holidays to Spain. If you have never been on one before, you may wonder why they are so popular. Here we will try to answer that question.
The first point to take into account is the price. Anyone who has been saving up for the best part of a year for their summer trip will want their cash to go as far as possible. The incredibly wide selection of hotels and resorts on the Spanish coast means that competition is intense and prices are very good.
Of course, going on a cheap holiday and getting terrible weather is no good, so the general reliability of the weather is another big plus point. Summer is almost always a time of clear, blue skies and high temperature in the main resorts. In winter things cool off but the weather usually remains much better than in Northern Europe[1]. The Canary Islands and Andalucía are idea for winter holidays.
Next we need to consider the children. Families tend not to go to Spanish resorts just because of the price. It is a place where the young ones are made very welcome and also have lots of things to do[2].
Spain is a huge country and the various regions all offer different attractions to visitors. This means that you can tailor your trip to suit your tastes and needs. Most of the big resorts are surprisingly close to more traditional attractions such as natural parks, small villages and historic sites. This means that you can break up a beach holiday by doing other things and uncovering some of the country’s culture and heritage.
Package holidays tend to include flights, airport transfers, hotels and sometimes even food and drink. This means that taking one of these out makes it easy to budget and to work out how far your money will go. There are huge numbers of these available in Spain all year round and the simple booking process they offer is another reason for their popularity.
These are just some of the reasons why cheap package holidays to Spain are so popular. If you have never been there on holiday but know someone who has then why not ask them for their opinion. They will no doubt have their own reasons for regarding this as a special place to spend a week or two.
