A Look At Icelolly Reviews

When you are planning a trip abroad you might like to check out some of the icelolly reviews before you book anything.

On the official site there are independent reviews of the hotels offered by the site. These have been submitted by customers and include ratings on the following areas: hotel location, room cleanliness, value for money and overall room and hotel ratings.

These offer a useful starting point but you need to bear in mind that they have been written by non experts and that we all have different taste and expectations of the hotels that we stay in. If we add in the fact that most of the featured hotels offer only one or two reviews then it is clear that a little bit more information would not go amiss.

As this point we can look at the site’s icelolly holidays reviews and resort information. Obviously this information isn’t going to be completely impartial, as the site is designed to make you buy a holiday not put you off one. However, if we combine what we learn from this with what we learned in the first section we mentioned then a picture should be starting to form for us.

What about Reviews of the Company?

The final point we need do it to check on the internet for independent reviews of the company itself. The issue to remember here is that people are far more likely to write up a review or make a comment on a forum if they have a problem.

This being the case it is no surprise to find a number of negative comments online, just as there are for just about any travel company whose name you care to type in just now. The complaints about icelolly are mainly about three things; the fact you need to phone a premium number to make a booking, the fact they don’t give a breakdown of the overall cost and the fact that some people didn’t know that it is a comparison site rather than a travel firm[1].

The majority of these negative icelolly reviews are dated a while back and at least two of those issues have now been resolved. The site now clearly shows a UK freephone number for booking enquiries and it is also clearly stated that it is a comparison site and that the people advertising the holidays (not icelolly) are all properly registered with the appropriate travel organisations.
