Taking a well deserved break in a sunny Spanish resort is a fantastic way to make the most of the summer holidays. There are lots of different deals about so let’s check out some types of cheap holidays to Spain.
Mallorca
This ever popular island has been a tourist hot spot for decades, and offers all the hotels and restaurants you could possibly ask for. In summer the likes of Palma Nova and Magalluf get filled with British tourists, while there are other resorts which attract a lot of Germans and Spanish tourists. The sheer number of hotels on the island means that finding a bargain should be fairly easy.
Benidorm
This is another classic Spanish beach holiday destination. The choice of things to do is staggering and your week will whizz by in a blur of days on the beach and nights out enjoying live music and shows. Unlike some of the resorts in Mallorca this is more of an all year round spot[1], although expect prices to be lower in winter. You may see this listed as Costa Blanca.
Costa Del Sol
This strip of Spanish coastline offers an extremely wide selection of hotels and some of the best holiday prices around. With so many resorts in it you may be surprised to find quaint tapas bars and traditional fishing villages rubbing shoulders with modern hotels[2].

Tenerife
This is in the Canary Islands, off the coast of Africa, but it is part of Spain too. The fact that it is further south than the mainland means that it enjoys warmer winters. The extra travelling distance doesn’t really get reflected in higher costs and this is an excellent choice for a family holiday.
Barcelona
If you prefer to avoid the typical holiday resorts then where better to go than this amazing city? There is plenty to do in a city famed for its culture, food, architecture and sport. You might even find time to head off to the beach. The hotels tend to be a bit more expensive here but there are lots of self catering options such as short term apartment lets to check out.
We have only covered a few of the top cheap holidays to Spain here and it is a good idea to do a comprehensive search before settling on your final choice. Booking close to the start date of the holiday will give you some better offers although you may get less choice of where to go.
